At Next Lesson Learning Studio, my mission is to provide comprehensive educational services designed to enhance children's skills in reading, math, and penmanship. I am passionate about fostering academic growth and confidence in elementary-aged little scholars through engaging and personalized programs. I believe every child deserves the tools to succeed, and I strive to create an environment conducive to learning and exploration.

Penmanship Practice

In cursive writing lessons I help students develop neat, confident, and fluent handwriting. I focus on proper letter formation, consistency, and rhythm while building fine motor skills and pride in penmanship. Students learn to write beautifully and legibly — a timeless skill that enhances focus and communication.

Mathematics Tutoring

I offer engaging math lessons that encourage problem-solving skills and conceptual understanding.

Reading Enhancement

In the reading program, I focus on improving comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency, all tailored to each child’s level. Young children learn to read through a strong, phonics-based approach paired with intentional spelling instruction.

Penmanship Course

Course Highlights: • Letter Formation: Learning proper strokes for both print and cursive letters. • Consistency & Spacing: Developing uniform size, spacing, and alignment. • Speed & Fluency: Improving writing speed without sacrificing legibility. • Fine Motor Skills: Strengthening hand coordination and control. • Correct Pencil Grip: Writing sentences, paragraphs, and notes with clarity.

Course Highlights • Number Sense & Place Value: Understanding numbers, patterns, and the relationship between digits. • Addition & Subtraction: Building fluency with basic facts and multi-digit operations. • Multiplication & Division: Learning strategies, memorizing facts, and applying them in problem-solving. • Fractions & Decimals: Exploring parts of a whole, comparisons, and simple computations. • Measurement & Data: Understanding length, time, money, graphs, and word problems. • Geometry: Recognizing shapes, symmetry, perimeter, and area. • Problem-Solving & Reasoning: Applying math concepts to real-life situations through critical thinking.

Reading Course

Course Highlights: • Phonics & Word Decoding: Recognizing letter sounds, blends, digraphs, and spelling patterns to read unfamiliar words with confidence. • Sight Word Mastery: Building automatic recognition of high-frequency words for smoother reading. • Fluency Development: Improving reading speed, accuracy, and expression through guided oral reading practice. • Vocabulary Growth: Expanding word knowledge through context, word study, and discussion. • Reading Comprehension: Understanding story elements, sequencing, main ideas, and making inferences. • Spelling & Writing Connection: Reinforcing reading skills through phonics-based spelling practice. • Reading Confidence: Encouraging a love for books and developing independent reading habits.

Homeschool Support

I offer personalized homeschool support across all subjects, designed to meet each student’s unique learning style and pace. Whether your child needs help with reading, writing, math, or enrichment subjects, I provide structured guidance while keeping learning engaging and encouraging. My goal is to come alongside families and support their homeschool journey by reinforcing core concepts, building confidence, and helping students stay on track with their academic goals. I can assist with curriculum support, homework guidance, and skill-building in areas that need extra attention.

What grades do you tutor?

I work with students in grades K–6, helping them build confidence, strengthen their skills, and enjoy learning along the way.

Do you offer group pricing?

Group rates are available and depend on the number of students in the group.
2 students $50/hr/Student
3 students $45/hr/Student
4 students $40/hr/Student

Where do you hold your sessions?

I offer flexible location options to best meet your needs. I can travel to your home, meet at a local library, or host the session at my home.

What happens if I cancel?

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellation made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged 100% of session fee and can be rescheduled the same week. Same-day cancellation will be charged 100% of session fee.
If your child is sick, please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule. I will do my best to accommodate make-up sessions, depending on availability.

What happens if I don’t show up for my session?

At Next Lesson Tutoring, I value your time commitment to helping each student succeed.
If a student does not attend a scheduled session without prior notice, that session will be considered a no-show. No-shows are charged in full and cannot be rescheduled or refunded.

When do I pay for my session?

Payment is due immediately following each session (same day). A $10 late fee may be added if payment is not received within 48 hours. After two late payments, continued tutoring may require advance payment before each session.
Cash, check, Zelle, or Venmo (confirm your preferred method with tutor).

What happens if I am late?

Regular attendance is key to academic progress. Please arrive on time and ready for each session. If a student is more than 10 minutes late, the session may be shortened accordingly to respect the tutor’s schedule.

How can I get the classes cheaper?
